Toronto is going electric! TPA is proud to play a leadership role in delivering EV charging services to customers and accelerating the adoption of EV vehicles. This important work also supports the City’s Electrical Vehicle (EV) Strategy, established in 2020 to support the TransformTO Net Zero initiative.
As the largest municipally-owned commercial parking operator in North America, TPA has a tremendous opportunity to become a catalyst for electrification for the City of Toronto by leveraging its off- and on-street parking portfolio to drive EV adoption.

With the help of technology partners, we’ve already started expanding the city’s EV charging capabilities at a growing number of Green P locations.
Our EV Charging goals are part of the City’s TransformTO Net Zero Strategy to reduce community-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Toronto to net zero by 2040.

Level 2 Charging Stations – Now Open

your vehicle couldn’t be easier.
Get the free app from one of our EV partners below or use the one provided by your payment provider.
Browse on your downloaded app or find a station from our list above.
Plug in your EV at any of our stations and pay through your account. You can manage your session from your account at any time.
Once your vehicle is plugged into the station, you’ll be charged according to standard hourly charging rates.
Please note, parking fees are paid separately and your vehicle must be actively charging while parked in a designated EV spot. Any vehicles without proof of parking and EV payment will be subject to fines according to the Toronto Municipal Code’s Traffic and Parking bylaws.

$6.00 overnight maximum (Overnight times may vary; please check the evening maximums indicated at each individual garage).
$15.00 per hour (50 kW only)
$2.00 per hour (6am–9pm)
$6.00 flat rate (9pm–6am)

Simply park your car at any of our designated EV stations, plug in the charger, and pay with your RFID card or phone in any of our partners’ apps.
Please note: parking fees are paid separately and your vehicle must be actively charging to be parked in a designated EV spot. Any vehicles without proof of parking and EV payment will be fined according to the Toronto Municipal Code’s Traffic and Parking bylaws.
Only an actively charging plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) can park in the EV spaces. All EV spaces are clearly marked with the sign below:
To charge your EV at a designated spot using one of our partner apps or your RFID card, follow these steps:
EV charging and parking must be paid separately.
To pay for parking: Use the GreenP Mobile App or pay at the parking facility’s payment machine.
To pay for EV charging: Download and open one of the apps from our payment providers (Chargepoint, Flo), or tap the RFID card issued by a charging provider on the charger. Please note: TPA does not sell RFID cards. Currently, you can only tap a credit card at a ChargePoint EV charger.
No, currently you cannot use the Green P app to pay for EV charging and parking.

Unfortunately, that capability is not currently available at TPA charging locations, though this may change as new technologies become available in the future. Customers should also note that the Flo and ChargePoint apps will display real-time charger availability.
