Green P Parking – COVID-19 Phase 2 Update July 6, 2020

 

With the City’s move to Phase 2, TPA is continuing to operate all of our Green P parking facilities.  Although we aim to keep pay stations, stairs, elevators and other common areas clean, we cannot guarantee that all elements will be 100% clean at all times, given that they are regularly in use and, in some cases, exposed to the environment.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that you take the steps outlined in the City of Toronto’s COVID-19 Health Advisory when visiting any Green P car park. The best way to prevent infection is to follow the recommended personal hygiene measures.  These prevention measures include:

  • Practice physical distancing
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 15 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are ill
  • Stay home when you are ill
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then immediately throw the tissue in the garbage and wash your hands
  • If you don’t have a tissue, sneeze or cough into your sleeve or arm
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

At our lots, to avoid touching commonly used surfaces, you can pay using any contactless credit/debit payment at the exits or self-service payment kiosks.  Monthly permit holders can continue to tap their cards as they currently do, and, at many lots, you can download and use our Green P app to make a payment.
