Service Alert: Renovations and Closures At Car Park 43 (2 Church Street) February 27, 2023

Beginning February 27, 2023 Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) will be carrying out staircase renovations at Car Park 43, located at 2 Church Street.

The staircase renovation project will result in the full closure of some staircases between February 2023 and May 2023.

During this time period, customers are advised to make use of the Car Park’s elevators and/or alternative staircases.

Staircase closure dates are planned as follows:

• February 27, 2023 – May 31, 2023: Full closure of Stair #2 (located in the Northeastern corner of the Car Park)
• February 27, 2023 -May 31, 2023: Full closure of Stair G8 (located in the Northwestern corner of the Car Park)

In order to carry out renovations to the staircases, construction teams will temporarily close the Church Street entrance to the garage, as well as the EV charging ports and stalls located near the garage’s Church Street entrance/exit.

The garage’s Church Street entrance and one exit will be temporarily closed between the hours of 630am-5pm every weekday, until late March/early April.  Customers will be required to make use of the Market Street and Esplanade entrances during the temporary closure periods.  Full access to all garage entrances will be restored every day at 5pm.

(Please note that the Church Street entrance/exit to the garage will be open during weekends.)

All EV chargers located near the Church Street entrance/exits will be unavailable until late March/early April.  Customers can continue to use the four (4) DC Fast Chargers and twenty (20) Level 2 Chargers located near the garage’s Market Street entrance during this time.
