Proposed Changes to the On-Street Paid Parking Program August 21, 2017

The Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) has undertaken a review of its On-Street Paid Parking Program for 2017 with proposed changes to the on-street paid parking program citywide. Changes to the hourly rate and hours of operation for on-street parking spaces are key tools in fairly allocating and managing this scarce resource, by encouraging high turnover and availability of the on-street parking supply.

The following recommendations are being proposed:
1. Changes to the hourly on-street rates in effect for on-street parking, with the appropriate geographical boundaries for each hourly rate throughout the City of Toronto:

Hourly On-Street Rates
Current
Proposed 2017
$4.00
$3.00
$2.25
$2.00
$1.50
$1.00
$5.00
$4.00
$3.00
$2.00
$1.00

2. Changes to the hours of operation for paid parking for select parts of the City of Toronto, such that paid parking is in effect Monday to Sunday and ends at 9:00p.m. at the following locations:
a. College St., between Brock Ave. and Ossington Ave.
b. Danforth Ave., between Donlands Ave. and Woodbine Ave.
c. Dundas St. W., between Indian Grove and Runnymede Rd.
d. Queen St. E., between Bayview Ave. and Coxwell Ave.
e. Queen St. E., between Parliament St. and River St.
