Finch Station – East Commuter Lot (814 Willowdale Avenue, Carpark 814) Reduced Parking Due to TTC Construction Work August 12, 2016

Finch Station- east commuter lot details:
The Finch east commuter parking lot requires repaving. This project will involve:
- resurfacing the parking lots
- improving the drainage systems
- improving the lighting system including the installation of LED energy efficient lights to meet current TTC standards
- increasing the number of accessible parking spaces
East Commuter Lot – reduced parking
In order to keep the lot open for our customers, construction work will be phased. There will be reduced parking within the lot during the various stages of work. Parking lot access will be maintained (except when the adjacent areas will be repaved). Wayfinding and signs will be in place. Existing parking lot gates will be removed and replaced with temporary Pay & Display meters during construction.
Stage 1: From August 15 to the end of 2016, the Willowdale Avenue driveway access will be reduced to two lanes of traffic. One lane will be required for construction access.
Stage 2: From the end of 2016 to the end of 2017, the Yonge Street driveway access will be reduced to two lanes of traffic. One lane will be required for construction access.
During each stage of work, approximately half of the lot’s parking will be available for customer use. Alternatively, you may find parking in the Finch Station West Commuter Lot during this time.
Work Hours
Most work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some extensions outside of these hours in order to complete the work as quickly as possible.
Noise and Vibration
Noise and vibration associated with construction can be expected with this work. Efforts will be made to keep noise levels to a minimum.
