The General Office Clerk provides administrative support to Human Resources and other departments in a timely and organized manner. This assignment will primarily focus on paper filing, and converting paper files to electronic records. Transportation of paper files and occasional lifting of boxes up to 50 lbs is involved.


Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Copy, sort, scan and file records.
  • Assist with updating current filing system, converting files from paper to electronic.
  • Operate office machines, such as computers, photocopiers and scanners.
  • Model behaviours that support the Toronto Parking Authority’s Core Values.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Completion of high school diploma.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures relating to administrative records.
  • Comfortable working with office equipment such as computers, scanners and photocopiers.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment with time constraints.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive documents.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
